We are based in Orange, California; however, we provide virtual therapy to anyone residing in California.
Office hours are 8 am to 6 pm Monday through Saturday.
We have current openings, so you should typically be able to start within one or two weeks, depending on your availability.
A typical session lasts 50 minutes.
Reach out to us by phone at (714) 408-9930, by email at info@risingpinescounseling.com, or by filling out our contact form on our website and submitting it. One of our team members will reach out to you.
Our cancellation policy requires a 24-hour notice. For any cancellations less than 24 hours’ notice, or for no-shows, the full session rate will be charged.
We are not in network with any insurance companies; however, we partner with Thrizer, which can assist you if you have out-of-network benefits from your insurance. Reach out to us if you would like to look into this option.
A unique GFE will be provided to the client based on an estimated treatment frequency, with the understanding that a client is never required to complete their treatment, as psychotherapy is an “at-will” medical service.
At a minimum, treatment plans are reviewed approximately every 3 months, and a new GFE can be provided upon request or if the cost of services will increase beyond the amounts provided in the GFE.
Most cards (credit/debit/HSA) with major credit card logos are accepted, including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. Payment is due at the time of service. If you need to make alternative payment arrangements, please get in touch with me.
Kayla is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 10 years of experience working with clients across settings. She has special training in EMDR therapy, Gottman Method for couples counseling, and CBT/DBT.
Yes, we offer couples therapy for all kinds of couples, including those who are dating, cohabitating, engaged, or married.
The first 1 or 2 sessions will primarily focus on you and your story. Your therapist must have a full picture of your life and all the parts of you that make you who you are. Goals for therapy will also be identified. From about the third session onward, sessions will be more focused on making progress toward the identified goals.
I use the following modalities:
Show up to sessions ready to be honest with yourself and me. Show up, hopefully in the process, and engage to the best of your ability. Finally, use the things we discuss in between sessions, as this is where true life change and progress happen.
You are not required to provide the content for the sessions unless it was part of your homework. Your therapist is trained to guide the sessions so that you can gain information and work towards your goals. Sometimes the deepest and most insightful sessions come when you thought you had nothing to talk about in the session.
Some coffee mugs that might make an appearance include a mug with a narwhale on it, a “hustle juice” mug, a “World’s Best Boss” mug from The Office, or a Disney Pixar Inside Out mug!
The Office, Friends, Survivor, Love is Blind, and, for guilty pleasure, The Bachelor/Bachelorette.
You don’t have to keep pushing through each day feeling overwhelmed and exhausted.
Real change is possible, and it can start with one conversation.
